Hi there, I’m Sam and would like to consider myself as a normal everyday mum and at this point in time still have thin lips and no tits. I have two absolutely crazy kids; Emmie who is 11 years old and about to embark on her journey through high school, (god help us all), and Ernie who has been 7 years of utter mayhem.

I used to be a dance teacher and fitness instructor until I closed that chapter of my life to concentrate on being a mum and bring some normality to our family life, spending more evenings and weekends together, (which I don’t regret at all….honestly). I am now studying for a degree in Early Years alongside working with SEN children at a local school. I have grown to be extremely passionate about wellbeing and mental health, especially within the youngest members of society. I hope to bring some of that passion to this blog alongside the rest of the crazy stuff I’ll probably bring along too!

The one thing I hate is silence and if there’s ever an awkward silence that is just the worst! I always go in to conversations with the best intentions to not take over, talk too much or be stupid, but always come out, head in hands thinking how I achieved absolutely none of that. Some people told me I should write a blog, others said I should be on the stage. If I had big enough balls I’d do stand-up and talk the knackers off audiences instead of my other half, but I’m not so instead I will continue to embarrass my eldest with my TikTok videos and get my performance fix that way!

As a kid I was always good at drama in school and loved performing, especially if it meant making people laugh. I honestly think comedy is the way to a healthy body. When you laugh you feel so good (apart from when your tummy hurts or your jaw aches from laughing too much!) What I have realised, at 35 years old, with thin lips and no tits, is that life is real and sometimes it’s a bit shit. Yet even in the darkest of situations if you don’t laugh you will cry. Humour always helps to heal the soul when it has been damaged and I always love to try and make people laugh. With this blog I hope to evoke some smiles, a bit of laughter and some chatter when there’s silence.

So put the kettle on, grab a glass of wine or prep a G&T and lets chat and smile together…

What People Say

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.

Audrey Hepburn

It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

J. K. Rowling

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Dr. Seuss

Let’s build something together.
